Feedback request on my first tarp setup

Four day hike planned this Friday through Monday so I need help/advice ASAP.

I have zero experience setting up a hammock tarp.I received my new MacCat Deluxe and will be setting it up tomorrow. I've read about as much as I can and plan to go with the following:

Using 2mm Hilleberg Spectra line on ridgeline and tie-outs.

    Ridgeline:
Line loop around tree fastened with an Ursa Micro Carabiner*.
At tarp ridgeline ends a Thera-Band tensioner, about 50% longer than JRB's, attached with Lark's Head.
Second Ursa Micro Carabiner between Thera-Band tensioner and line to tree.
Initial slack taken up and tensioning done with standard tent type line system using Hilleberg line runners. This should give me a couple of feet of possible adjustment at each end.

    Tie outs:
Pretty much standard here. My JRB type tensioners at end of tie outs. I'll probably use the same initial tensioning set up on the lines which will allow for a large variation of line lengths for different conditions.

(I have been using a small rubber band attached at the tent (tarp) with a Lark's Head to attach the lines after I wind it up around my fingers.)

    * Weight= .11oz with listed strength of almost 200 pounds.
I could be using as many as 8, but the weight will still be well under an ounce.

IMO, tensioners are not needed on the ridgeline. If tied tautly to the trees, the ridgeline won't sag on a MacCat. With it's sewn-in ridge seam, it will hold a lot of tension. The tensioners on the side-tie-outs should work great, though.

Take time to be sure that your tarp is centered above the hammock, and that you have it down close to the hammock if you expect rain.

    Good luck!

or if it's already raining, set up the tarp 1st of course, then center the hammock under it.
and i agree w/ angrysparrow, most people find tensioners counter productive on ridge lines.

but i'm liking the figure 9s for quick set up & readjustments on the ridge lines.

i use a clove line hitch to put the stakes any where i need them on the corner lines.
clove line hitches are easy to form in the air, then insert stake & pull tight.
when you pull them up, slide the stake out & it cleans most of the dirt off & the hitch just falls away.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

    Speer, Peapod, and MacCat Deluxe

Got all the necessary lines and tensioners put on. Since I hadn't actually put the Peapod on the Speer IIIA I took this opportunity to do it. All seem to be working extremely well. Sleeping in it tonight and since there is no threat of rain I left the sides of the MacCat fairly high. Heading out Friday morning on a 3 day (4 if I decide to take my time) thru hike of the Taconic Crest Trail.

Peapod on Speer IIIA under MacCat Deluxe

MacCat Deluxed over Peapod. No Threat of Rain.

Looks great! Makes me want to leave town tonight and go hide in the woods.

Somebody made the arguement that the tensioners on the ridgeline would cause the tarp to relocate it's position above the hammock during high winds. That totally makes sense to me and I wouldn't use them on the ridgeline either.

As suggested, I used Thera-Band tensioners on the tarp lines only. I DID decide to use line runners on the ridgeline to easily center and to lightly tension it. Made it very simple to do.

Green ones work best in my experiments. Shock cord tensioners are much lighter!
    Trust nobody!
