When I sleep on my side in my gathered end hammock, I usually scrunch down to one end of the hammock, and most of the way to one side also, so my back has something to lean against. great majority of the time though, I'm on my back.

    Only experience is with HH

I am a side sleeper, and I guess I am lucky that I stumbled onto the Hennessey for that reason. So I guess I am endorsing the HH for SS'rs.

I generally don't have any problem side sleeping in my Hennessy or my DIY gathered end hammocks which use the Warbonnet style whipping. Try to go diagonal as much as possible and play around with where you center of gravity is relative to the hammock center line.

We all do, but that would be an awful lot of extra typing!
HYOH ( hike your own hike or hang your own hammock) and similarly:PYOP! ( Post your own post, even with acronyms )

Do you know if it is possible to make a bridge hammock wide enough to allow knees to be pulled up higher? BMBH is too narrow for me...
    Relax, we are all terminal...

I'm sure it is possible. But, the wider spreader bars will be that much more trouble with a tarp, plus extra weight. Might be worth it though!

Like others have said - the BMBH (& I've heard the same for Grizz's Bridge) arethe way to go.
