I thought this was too late in the semester for you to make it to a November hang Nate...

Glad to see it looks like things may have changed.

Not sure what you mean about "mileages we'd be in for", the primitive area is just a couple of miles and the rest of Fairfield Lake State Park where we'll be is primarily car camping.

That is great, because I need a car camp hang and the comforts aren't bad at all. How do I get reservations, pay my fee, etc for my little car and maybe 2 people?

Right now we just dream about cool weather and November hanging.

In a month or so, we'll start getting serious about the list and details.

So let the dreaming and talking about it continue!

Last year a group of us met at Fairfield Lake State Park around the middle of November and had a great time, so we're doing it again. Those of us who did this hang last year had a great time and are looking forward to another good time. To see how the planning went and a trip report check out the links in the original post.

The dates for this year are Nov 12-14

At the state park we are limited to two cars and 8 people max per site. When we get closer I'll start posting a list of those definitely going and the "maybes" so I can get an idea of how many campsites we'll need.

Folks are welcome to reserve their own sites if they like. Otherwise, we'll meet there and if we do it like last time, I'll pick up the tab so we can be assured of the sites then I'll hire a collection agency and get it all sorted out.

    Fairfield Maps

Two maps to help start the discussion, and the PDF from whence the campground map was taken. Two people in my party, maybe with 2 cars.
