I'm strung between these 2 tarps I know that the MatCat is lighter, the Mamajamba is wider. Does anyone have a personal preference on one those these tarps. Just to let you know I'm looking at the Silnylon versions.

I have a hard enough time deciding for myself which one to take sometimes. Can't help with this one; they're both fantastic builds!
Trust nobody!
I have both and it's truly a flip a coin deal. I like the color of the Mamajamba better. I like the stuffsack of the MacCat Deluxe better. The hole closes so tightly and perfectly round, it looks like a cat's hiney that's been rubbed with a corn cob and had turpentine poured on it.
They really are both excellent tarps. To my eye, the MacCat Deluxe looks a tad more refined with the edging. Brandon removed the side edging and went to a hem on the Mamajamba, but he says it doesn't reduce the strength of the tarp and was unnecessary.

Depends on when you plan to camp/hike.
MacCat Deluxe is great for 3 season
Mambajamba with doors is the key player for winter hiking/camping
If you plan on going 4 seasons and just want one tarp I'd go the Mambajamba route with doors.
If you are strictly a 3 season person Deluxe is the way to go.
I made the move on the Mamajamba. Having it able to cross over into a 4 season tarp was a big factor for me. All thats left is the waiting game. I was never very good at this.
