    Just thinking about the stresses on fabric with mesh attached, I think Cannibal's initial suggestion of an open hammock with modular bugnet makes more sense from a durability standpoint. There is only one "bottom" of the hammock which both person's center of gravity would be pulled towards, with some inevitable wrangling for position that would go way beyond one person shifting around to find the sweetspot.

    HH Jungle Safari Zip is huge, rated 350lbs. I'm 5'8" 155lbs, my wife smaller and yet I don't want to sleep two up, but could, it's that big.
