Question Is Your Ridgeline Under or Over Your Tarp?

I know that hanging your tarp ABOVE the ridgeline offers more stability in bad weather and in snow. But what are the advantages to keeping the tarp BELOW the ridgeline? are there any? are there any disadvantages to keep the tarp below the ridgeline? how about disadvantages to keeping the tarp above? is one simply easier to setup than the other?
