i currently and using ENO slapstraps for my suspension but they are really only effective if my hammock is hooked onto the highest setting on each strap. otherwise no matter how high I set my hammock I am only an inch or 2 off the ground. man do they stretch. I was looking into the whoopie slings and was simply wondering if they stretch at all. Will my hammock stay at the same height I originally hang it at?
Not with simply adding slings. If you also replace, or just replace your webbing, youll find yourself staying put.
Polyester or polypro straps are what you need. The nylon the ENO uses stretches.
Amsteel has a percentage of stretch based on how far you are from the average strength rating. And even then, its not that much. For what hammockers do with it, you wont notice any stretch from the Amsteel
