With all those other trees makes me wonder why bunk bed style at all?

I only have one tarp. This was practice for when we actually go backpacking.
What did the blue hammock use for a bug net?
"Hang Lose Man"
Man im jealous of that site. It is gorgeous.
That pup looks like the BEAUTIFUL old fluffy, gentle GSD we had when I was a kid- my first dog. His name was Grizzly, but the only thing he would hurt were flies (*snap!* except once he went for a bee! his surprise and remorse was quite funny to watch). Any time we went out to play he would come with us, so when we played hide and seek we would have to lock him up in our yard because he would sit under the tree, hole or bush we were in, or next to the wall we were hiding behind!
Your dog is gorgeous!
On a hammocking note, (gotta stay on topic eh?) do you have any pics of you standing next to your bunking contraption?
Also, check out the bumper method, in case the weather is inclement and you have to tighten down the tarp. http://www.imrisk.com/hammock/ultradoublehammock.htm
