    Hello from New Brunswick, Ca

Hello, how did I get to this point. Well, I had been planning a motorcycle trip and was not really looking forward to sleeping on the ground. I have tried a number of sleeping pads etc, but could never find a comfortable solution. This had really hindered my camping experience. In any case, by some twist of fait while surfing the net, I stumbled onto Hammocks. So I figured, what the heck, I'll give it a try. Like a first love, the Hennessey Expedition bottom entrance was the first camping hammock I saw. The rear entry seamed very cool, however I ended up ordering the Zippered model. It seamed a number of people were going with a aftermarket mod for this, but I keep thinking about that bottom entrance. Oh well, if all goes well with hanging in the trees, I'll need a couple more hammocks for the kids. Good thing too, because I already have my eye on a WBBB and a Double ENO. I probably would have ordered the WBBB, but I wanted the double layered 1.7 and they were out of stock. I'm going to need an UQ and maybe a winter tarp too, but I have the summer to figure out what to do there. You know I think I was pretty logical and calm about this. I'll give it a try and see how it goes, but then I found Shug's videos and I just went nuts. I ordered my Hammock on Thurs, three days ago, and I'm dancing around here like a six-year-old that has to go pee, where's my Hammock, where's my Hammock, I got to go, got to go. And there are so may thing, modification and options, I don't even know where to start.

Well, I got to go pee now. I hope to be hanging out in the trees soon, maybe I'll see some of you there.

Welcome The C'kr. Nice to have another Canuk on the forum. If you get down to N.S. we have a nice group of hangers here. I just got home from camp where we had about 40 hammocks set up.

I know just how you feel waiting for your new gear. Some people love that new car smell, I like that new camping gear smell.

Well thanks for the warm welcome guys. It's nice to see there are even some locals on here, N.B. & N.S. I got anxious this afternoon and cleared a spot in the backyard for a test run when the package arrives. I have a number of pads to try or maybe a quick DIY UQ. I would like to get that straightened out in the back yard before I head out on the trails. So I'm off to study up on UQ's.
