Hello my name is Rob, I live in the Sunshine state (Fl). I have been looking over different hammocks and have purchased a Henesey and an E.N.O. sleep systems. What I have found is that throughout the night, I get woken by my heels hurting from the constant pressure being put on them. Does anyone have some input on this?

    Hi Rob! Welcome to HF!

Sorry about your heel pain. How tall are you, if you don't mind me asking?

which models of hennessy and eno do you have? is it the same with both?

are you sleeping in line with the hammock or on the diagonal?

or it may simply be your hammock is over tightened.... try putting some slack in it. on the hennessy you have a ridgeline which is a gauge to how tight it ought to be, on my hennessy i pull it tight, then let just a little slack back in. you should have just a little play in it when you lay down. you might consider some whoopie slings to make it easier to find the proper tension, especially on the hennessy. the lash method works but for me it was very tedious and time consuming when compared to other options out there.

I'm 5'8" and I have the Hennessy EXPLORER DELUXE A-SYM and for the E.N.O. I have the one link pro nest. I am more comfy in the Henn. but sometimes would like to do without the net. Putting it to one side as shown in the videos doesn't suite me. I know, as we would tell our scouts, "suck it up princess".

for myself i use a top loading hammock except when it's buggy. there is a zipper modification available for the hennessy: http://www.2qzqhammockhanger.com/. that was my biggest qualm with it as well. you might get more comfort on the eno by adding a ridgeline, some don't use them but i do and i love them. check http://shop.whoopieslings.com/ for an adjustable ridgeline. that's what i use. mostly it's just playing around with them to find what works for you, everyone's comfort is their own. and that's what counts in the end

I'm familiar w/ that heel pain.
Changing hammock types may help, but try a pillow under your knees & one under your ankles. The one under your ankles will raise your feet.
Just improvise the pillow by using what you would already have w/ you, or take one of the inflatables.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
