    Welcome to HF!
Any hammock would do you fine, it's all a matter of what you are looking for in one? Integrated bug net, bottom entry, top entry, no net,___, ____, ___!?!?!?
You can look through the gallery and see pretty much every hammock set up, then you can go through the Manufacturer section and look/read the posts on them!? Then if any specific question arises ask away!!!!!

Welcome to HF...........the addiction will start now!!!!!!!! Have fun in your search and I can recommend the ENO Doublenest and the Clark Jungle Hammocks. But I have also seen and liked the looks of the Switchback from Tree to Tree. Good luck in the search, if there is a group hang in your area I highly recommend joining just to try out the various types of hammocks that will be there.

thanks everyone! I think I may go with the TTTM or the ENO to start out....although the blackbird seems great...decisions, decisions.

I agree. Making it yourself is a good way to try out lots of different ideas. Welcome to the forums and there are many good hammocks out there. Be sure to add a tarp and some bottom insulation.

In my opinion any hammock is a good hammock! Like all things some are better than others. Personal preference and experience plays a big part in hammock selection.
