Just wouldn't feel right selling one of my babies.
Some have become gifts, but nothing sold.
Trust nobody!
Check that, I did trade a hammock once for a bamboo Native American flute. Sorta like selling I suppose. But in my defense, the guy that sold me that hammock told me to keep it going when I moved on. So I was really just doing the 'right' thing in trading it.
Yeah, that'll work.

When I bought my peapod a year and half ago, it seemed like it wasn't much discussed on the forums. Could never understand why, as it is such a simple and effective way to insulate a hammock.
So pleased to see it really taking off. For cold weather, I consider it to be the best there is.
I used mine at -2C the other night with thermals, no top quilt. I wasn't as toasty as I would have been had I worn my fleece inside, but I slept fine!
I plugged up the ends of the pod with my drybags, which made a noticeable difference.
Some of us live in areas where we are disappointed when it doesn't get colder than -2C One reason I left Georgia for Colorado was I was tired of getting nights that barely dropped below freezing. I wanted to go WAY below freezing, and CO has plenty of opportunities for that
The peapod seems like a really cool idea, but it only works on certain types of hammocks, and there are lighter alternatives that will take you to lower temperatures. Like most solutions, it fills an important niche, but I'd say there's a reason it hasn't taken off more - and that reason probably has a lot to do with the popularity of HH and WBBB hammocks, which don't work particularly well with a peapod.
I love cold weather, but here in Australia, -2 is almost as good as it gets. I had to travel abroad to experience -6!
Hey Cannibil,
all you did was "Pay it forward, with the hammock trade...and a really good one in my book. That would not be considered a sell of any kind, I don't think.

I thought Peapods were out of fashion. Everyone is talking about fractional UQ's and removing omni-tape. We were going from full UQ's to 3/4 to 2/3. Heck, I was waiting for someone to make the bold move to a 7/16 UQ that keeps you toasty down to 13.5°F.
FWIW, I have TWO Peapods; a 30° and a 20°. Hard to beat them for staying warm.
