    Help IDing Costco Hammock Stand

    I realize this is not a camping stand but I have scoured the internet with no luck.

    I bought the hammock stand below several years ago (6-7) from Costco. The hammock held up great until last year. Since then I have been unable find out the make/model. Costco no longer sells it and was no help.

    I attempted to buy a hammock from Lowes or Home Depot last year but it did not fit. I tried adjusting/shortening the ropes but that resulted in too much tension and ropes snapping. It was comedic.

    Anyway summer is here again and I would love to get a hammock back on here. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    I imagine most any hammock would fit, hopefully without breakage or comedy . A helpful number for us would be the distance between the 2 hooks.

    Welcome to the forum.
    Whats the distance from end to end of your stand?
    Or hook to hook?
    You might end up just buying a regular hammock, like an ENO, Hammock Bliss, or similar?
    If Costco won't help you, then we will.
    May have to custom build a hammock to fit the spacing?

    +1 on the DIY. Especially if its only for the yard. Pick a colour!

    Check out the no sew options even!

    Thanks for the prompt reply guys, much appreciated.

    @acercanto, @gargoyle

    O.k. here are two distances.

    Hook hole to hook hole = 112"

    Hook to Hook = 107"-108"

    The hooks themselves hang down a bit once inserted.

    @Browny

    Thanks for the reference. I'll check it out.

    Did the hammock that came on it have spreader bars? That sounds a bit short (between the hooks) for a gathered end hammock to have the sag it needs w/o your back touching the stand. It might fit...but you might end up having to shorten your hammock body a bit.

    Or I could be completely wrong.

    more info to help

    I have the same problem trying to find a replacement hammock, I have attached pictures of my Squirrel eaten hammock. We had a hard winter and the squirrels need more warm materials for their homes. If you guys can help us it would be great.

    Thanks

    @Just Jeff

    Yes the former hammock did have spreader bars.

    The un-researched replacement did as well. It was too long so I tried shortening up the ropes but the tension was then too great... snap, crackle, pop went the ropes.

    Did you try replacing the ropes on the other hammock?

    @MrJMan

    Yup, that is nearly the EXACT set up we had except the former hammock was tan in color.

    This is my third attempted in about a year at trying to find a replacement. If things don't work out this time I am calling 1-800-GOT-JUNK
