    Big Mamajamba

I am very impressed with this tarp.
I had a MacCat Deluxe, but it was just a little to small for my comfort level.

The Big Mamajamba is a very nice tarp that is
Light weight, packs up small, easy to set up,
and provides you with very good coverage.

    discontinued Blue color.

(yes that is my swimsuit hanging from the suspension.)

I'm actually going to order the Mambajamba with doors in late June for my winter set up and retire my Superfly to my get home bag in my car. And no its not for sale you tarp junkies LOL
I would think the Superfly, with its four panel pullouts, would be superior to the Mambajamba. Mind if I ask why you are retiring your Superfly?

Given that you won't sell your Superfly, can you please post your model of car, license plate number, and where you park it?

Going with the Spinn and the Mambajamba will save me 1/2 a pound for the winter PLUS I really like the way Brandon has the new doors set up which is superior to the button method the old Superfly has.... Will use the Superfly if my gf joins me on some overnighters. Got her hooked on hammocking somewhat and will use the superfly to put 2 hammocks under it... Gotta ease her it. Hopefully by next year she will be fine with her own tarp.

Thanks for all the information! It has been really helpful. It looks like I will be going with the Mamajamba Spinn.

I have the Mamajamba Spinn and really like it. This isn't for everyone, but I sewed omnitape on one end so I could close one end against the wind and rain when necessary. Most people would go with WB doors, but it's just one more thing for me to remember to take or leave home. I'm trying to keep things as simple as possible. So far I haven't had much wind noise but haven't been in bad wind. I'm trying to pick good sites and I always take ear plugs if things get too noisy.

FWIW...RE: Spinn tarp as "noisy". I have an OES MacCat Deluxe in SpinnUL. When pitched, I don't find it any noisier than a silnylon tarp. The only time I'm aware of its "crinkly" noise tendencies is when I'm packing it.

I have to agree. When I first received my tarps, my first reaction was-this is way too noisy. I was told it would get more quiet with use. This seems to be true. Also, I think the cat shape gives such a tight pitch the tarp does not flap or flutter, making it less noisy in use.
