how to stop a hammock from squeaking?

Hi all,

I have a Pawley's hammock stand and hammock. It was great for the first day, but now it squeaks when I sway in it. Any ideas how to get rid of the squeak?

find where it squeaks and add excessive amounts of wd-40, graphite powder or any other lubricants you might have laying around...

If it has joints, dismantle it and grease the joints. This is an old bicycle mechanic trick to get rid of squeaky pedals, handle bars, and seat posts.

Get your self some silicone type spray...

My wife suggested I may want to lose about 100 lbs...and mine would stop squeaking. Ear plugs were easier.

Metal Frame........ Say no to takedown components.......Braze all the joints!

But seriously, there's always time for lubricant.

Even oil or lard from the kitchen if your desperate, just be aware that things may try to eat the lube!
