Love my Sportkilt! Don't need much of an excuse to wear it. I think I'll make it my primary pants next time I do trails with several water crossings.

Wow this thread was brought back from the depths. I wear kilts a lot. I have been thinking about adding a Mountain Hardwear Elkommando to my collection. My Utililkilt Survivals are great, but they are a little heavy for hiking - especially if they get wet. My Sportkilts are light and super comfy but lack any decent pockets. The Elkommando might be a good middle ground for hiking. Anybody used these and different brands for hiking? I would love to hear how they compare.

I have 2 UTKults and they are great but too heavy for hiking.
Have one sport kilt in acrylic, it's freaking great.
Going to get the lightweight hiking kilt for summer.

The acrylic Sportkilts are great. I just pulled the trigger on the Elkommando. I found one in the (older?) color Tundra.

I have a bit of a problem: 3 Utilikilt Survivals, 1 UT-kilt, 2 511 tactical kilts, 2 Sportkilts, 1 Got Kilt Hybrid and 1 custom made kilt.
