I have not given any or much thought to wearing a kilt as I wear convertable pants (ones that the legs zip off too shorts) but I have been looking at this for quite some time!

EDIT2: ...but some people dress funny in Lancaster.

    1) As long as you have an UQ under there!

    2) Closing on the new house this weekend, but Im staying up here until I finish up my job at the end of the school year (late June) while my wife starts her practice in beginning of June. But will be down on weekends.

    3) Umm, yes, I guess hiking with you guys won't be much different? Sure will make life interesting!

Ah, so they make "team kilts"... HF Kilts for sale in the forum store? They will go well with our new buffs.

And... for you knife collectors, they even have Sgian Dubhs to go with your kilt!

For those who are worried about the windy days, get a kilt pin!! I wear me clan Tarten with pride full wool kilt!! Hiking is breeze, though I will say I do not wear mine when I go to sleep, too much to wear when I am a human furnace. As for wearing somethin under it, that be up to you lads, I only ask that you respect where you are going and who you are going with, meaning children - accidents do happen. Otherwise I support and salute Scots wearing kilts and wanna be Scots wearing those other things!!
    Brian D. Samosky

It's a kilt!! If it were a skirt, I'd be wearin somthin under it!!

For certain, you have to be lost to find a place as can't be found. Elseways, everyone would know where it was.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

YMMV, but I somewhat like the kilts at http://www.stillwaterkilts.com/ better. My "thrifty kilt" is acrylic so doesn't hold water & dries super fast. & at $29.95 for a Black Watch tartan, or @28.95 for my Clan (Gordon) ya canna beat the price! They also have accessories and other types of kilts.

It oddly has a great affinity to burrs, more so than my polypro shirt or wool socks or Firewalker's wool kilt. He: picked a few burrs off. Me: picked a few burr PLANTS off. Yep, pulled the whole plant out.
