    Great innovtive idea. I could use stained 2x4s to make it rot proof. I could lay the whole dismantled thing at the bottom of a canoe and not have to bring a 'just in case tent' anymore. also obviously good for campground car camping. I just have to think of a way to make it dismantible enough to put it in a 17 foot kayak. Then I could sleep on beaches, wow.

    Check out the tensa4 stand. Started out as a diy build here on the forum and became a full scale production you can purchase. Both fully viable options, the tensa4 is pricy but folds down so compact as to be foot-rest sized at camp. BECAUSE SLEEPING ON BEACHES SOUNDS LIKE A GLORIOUS IDEA!! I wanna go canoeing with ya!!

    I second the Tensa Stand Idea. You can DIY one for around $30.00 and make it dismantle down to camp chair bag size,
