    Successful Hang in PA AT

Took the troop on the AT for an overnighter this past weekend.
Hung in my DoubleENO with Kelty 9 tarp just in case.
Temperature got down pretty cold; all the scouts complained they were cold except for my Junior hanger--he reported sleeping well in his cocoon.
    I can't believe I went over 40 years as a ground dweller!

The highlight of the hike was Day 2, lunch break. The scouts surprisingly had a lot of energy to explore the summit we stopped on--so I set up the hammock with the super-fast web suspension, Dutch clips, and took a nap. Almost perfect!

fuzzie - yeah, love them hammocks. At the Hoosier Hang I layed down for a moment in the hammock and awoke an hour later. These things might cut miles off my hiking as I sleep in and nap.

Glad to hear you had a good trip.
