Well I'm hoping there's someone out there who's secretly been wanting to upgrade from the regular to the "ultra"..... or maybe ..... someone has a kid about ready to go to colllege?? ...... or maybe ...... someone who just really prefers the glow of white gas???

on that one. it is a steep price to pay, although they are a quality piece of gear and its always fun to play with fire. One day if I win the lotto, we missed ya at the MAHA hang this weekend Greenlespaul

Folks, if you don't want to pay for a Bushbuddy, then don't buy one. But calling those who do 'insane' is rude...we don't do that here at HF.

The Bushbuddy isn't made from cans like some other woodburners. Quality materials, 150+ spot welds, etc.

There was a thread last week about them here, including a link to an interview with the inventor.

Figured it had to be top notch. I saw the thread, but with having a total hearing loss, I cannot understand whats being explained on the videos. Apparently I missed that! ha. Yes, that means I miss out on all the funny "whoo buddy" stuff on Shugs videos too!

Over the years, I have spent a lot of money on camping gear. I started more conserned about price than quality, and that in the end is what probably cost me more than the quality pieces of gear I finally settled on. The BushBuddie might not be in your price range, but I garantee that those who decide to get one will not be disipointed.

Unfortunately, the brand new one's are a little too rich for my blood!!!
