Coolest hammocks and gear in 2024

    Hey guys.

I have a Warbonnet XLC that I really like.

But I haven't really been keeping up with hammock stuff for the last 5+ years and was curious what new gear is out there that I should really be looking at.

In your opinion, what is the coolest hammock gear in 2024... ?

    Newest hammock-related gear I've seen in 2024 ...

Yobogear just started a Kickstarter campaign this month for their latest creation - the Turtlebug Hammock Stand. (https://yobogear.com/turtlebug-hammock-stand/) It appears they are trying to create a stand that can serve multiple needs ... mini stand for kids, a chair stand, a lounger stand for shorter hammocks, and a camper stand for longer hammocks. You mix and match the pieces you want to create the stand you want. It won't be as light as their Cricket stand, but will be a lot less expensive.

I have some doubts about whether they can successfully pull off trying to be all things for all people. It could be great for a lot of folks, but I already know it won't work for me.

It's a pretty cool concept though.

HammockGear is selling 950 fill, 7D, UL quilts.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

I ordered a Majestic hammock that I'm excited to get, should be soon now.

Also the dutchware chameleon with build in UQ also seems interesting.

I also want to get a hive.

I'll throw out a surprising small item that might make the 2024 list of innovations: RidgeLink Ecosystem Phone Holder | DutchWare (dutchwaregear.com)

My rationale is that (1) it's a "system" with interchangeable parts that could probably be extended to other uses, and (2) it came about after (and maybe in response to) the unacceptable behavior of the creator of the Hangtime hook.

I have two of these: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/c...around-v2#/faq literally on the slow boat from China (en route to the Panama Canal).

    Maybe cool, maybe not.

I saw this campaign and wondered whether folks might buy it. I'm interested to hear what feedback you have after you've had a chance to hang in it. The quilted top cover is a waste. Insulation is meant to contain body heat, and if you have it that far from your body, it's not going to do what you think it might. Bad design IMO. Still, interesting as something "new"!
