    Help: Providence Canyon question

Hello all, I am planning a family trip to Providence Canyon and we were hoping we would be able to hang. We are staying at the pioneer campsite number 2, anyone know if there is suitable trees there? We want to hang 6 hammocks.

Pics of site number 1 (and 2?) are here. Looks like you may be out of luck…

    Backcountry campsite 06 includes a small 3 sided covered shelter (16ft x 10ft)
Hike in distance to the site from the parking lot is 2 miles.

Just to update, pioneer campsite 2 at Providence canyon is pretty awesome. I had 4 hammocks hanging and there were easily spots in the immediate area of the site for 5 or 6 more at least. Obviously you could move further from the site and find more trees but I’m not sure how far out you could go before the park staff would start complaining.

On a side note, if you’re in that area there is also a free campsite at Rood Creek Landing Recreation Area. It’s right on the water, plenty of trees, and it seems like few people know about it. We were hanging right next to the river.
