    I use knots:

Tautline (under-under-under) for clothes-line to dry clothes or bedding
    Magnus (under-under-over) variation of Tautline
    Prusik's for Drip Lines
Trucker's Hitch Loop for cinching and tight as a banjo string

Pull too tight on the 1.75 Zing-It and let me know how long it takes you to undo it in a snowstorm...doh!

Overhand Loop Knot for Stakes/Continuous Ridgeline & Clothesline/Aluminum Toggles.
Care to guess the Amsteel Line?

@joe Wow! your setup looks compact and tidy. super-cool. Where'd you get the aluminum toggles? they look slick!

Can anyone help me understand the difference between ZingIt and LashIt?

    Edit: Found it. Color. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...-it-vs-Lash-it

I think there's slightly more to it than color, like the amount of the Samthane coating, but for our purpose using them as guylines and such, color is basically the only difference worth noting.

Samson's Samthane coating is a urethane coating that is added to make the lines less slippery, more abrasion resistant, and probably to some degree more cut resistant.. Basically to add durability to a single braided line. With single braided lines, its strength members are exposed to the "elements"... So the idea is the protect them. This is why they do it. I used to urethane coat yarn before braiding it. That was my answer to making it even better than everyone else... But I couldn't compete against Samson or Cortland or New England or any of the other big businesses competing to OWN the single braided HMPE line business. I personally think Kernmantle constructed lines are far and away better. But most of the smaller cords cannot be spliced, are more expensive to produce, and are not as strong for the diameter up until about 5-6mm.

Before I knew as much as I now know (which is still so very little) I bought some UHMWPE-core cord (I guess this is Kermantle) off of Amazon - 1.8mm (advertised 460lb breaking weight). Having read about the strength of UHMWPE, I proceeded to use it to hang my hammock from my tree-straps and used tied-knots. I immediately broke the cord at the knot and landed on the ground.

    Live and learn!

Today I am still working on my DIY 7/64 Amsteel UCRs and my hang angle to maximize my setup and prevent undue stress on my ropes.
    New to hanging!
