I would definitely advise taking the Taxi. First off it's a far paddle on a large and Mean lake. I as well as others can attest. Opeongo is no Joke!!! It can go from sunshine and lollipops to all hell breaks loose in the blink of an eye.
I'm willing to possibly be leaving Monday and there could be others.
Better safe than sorry...

The paddle out could be a nice 4 or 5 hours but as Bonny said .....

Last time I paddled there, the Western Narrows on the way out was completely impassable with the wind. Even if I had bushwhacked around, the south arm would have been an adventure. Thankfully I had an extra day so paddled out early the next morning.

Hope to be able to make it but will have to wait and see.
