Rhode Island Winter Camp - My new 0° Burrow is toasty warm!

Winters have been sad here in Rhode Island lately but we got a bit of snow to start 2024 and then some cold temps kept it hanging around. There was the potential for single digits a few Saturday nights ago so I decided to spend it out in the woods. I recently got a new 0° Burrow from HammockGear and was excited to try it out. I also picked up an alcohol stove and wanted to give it a go as well. The quilt worked great and I was very warm that night. The alcohol stove...not so much. But it heated my water and for that I am thankful. Overall a great night in the woods and I'm glad I got out there when I did because it's all rain and bare ground now.

Thanks for sharing your trip. Did you figure out the issue with the stove?
I really like that indoor/outdoor thermometer. it shows the contrast between the two nicely. I think I sing that same "I don't wanna get up" song every time I sleep in my hammock

Thanks much. I think something happened to the fuel in the original container. It came in a metal can - there was condensation on the bottom of the can and it had been dripping down onto the floor. It didn't smell like alcohol - I think maybe water was leaking out? At any rate, I think enough leaked out to mess with the mix and that's why it didn't burn clean.
