paddle in camp sites in NH, VT, MA or NY?

    Hi all,

I know that a good spot is as sacred to a hanger as a fishing hole is to an avid angler, and you may not wish to give up your spots. I certainly understand that. I am looking for some spots to paddle into (portaging a canoe some distance is totally okay). In the NE area. I will drive to a good site. Ideally I'm looking for something remote and primitive with plenty of solitude where I can hang and be undisturbed.

    I always leave no trace.

The Essex Chain of Lakes in the Adks is a good option, Mandatory portage to start seems to help decrease volume. There were a couple campsite locations that seemed almost unused.

In the late 70's I was in New Jersey, and the Nahmakanta Public Reserved Land has Moosehead Lake where you should be able to paddle your heart out and explore numerous shorelines and small isles.

Found this: Majority of video are drone video segments

off the bottom of cape code, paddle in only.
I did it in a kayak many years ago, friends did it in a canoe.
I was still a ground sleeper at the time
