Coming from the world of bicycles where you see the commonality of pedaling two wheels you get a lot of contention among the groups inside the community. Mountain bikers against road bikers, road bikers against mountain bikers, Fat bikes suck, fat bikes rule, single speed what?, gears, how many ya need and don’t even go down the bath of E bikes.

its always funny to me. We are one in the same, enjoying two wheels, enjoying the outdoors.

i love you enjoy your forest muffin as well as I enjoy my bear burrito. We’re outdoors, we’re camping man! Let’s sit by the fire and tell stories of Sasquatches haunting our forest and enjoy the sunset on your favorite peak or stream.

rather selfishly I’d rather not all discover the joys of hammock camping. I live 20
miles from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where the campsites will hold 6-8 people. Legally , your supposed to camp in the designated backcountry sites. Some of these sites and in particular one of my favorites can only hold one or two hammocks in specific locations of the campsite. So I’d rather selfishly have others in tents so I can still get my spot and not be hanging illegally if a Ridge Runner or back county ranger comes along.

Peas to the many and may we sleep a good night in the forest.

Yeah I've seen this guy's videos before. He makes some pretty good stuff but he's not a hammock camper
Its a good day to be out in the woods no matter the weather.Mist One..

Perhaps Luke has not seen an example of Warbonnet's system with a dyneema tarp.

I only include this video to offset some of the negative perceptions about hammocking while hiking.

This guy hiked the AT in 2019 with a hammock.

Yeah, Frozen is a good representative. He's switched over to tents and he's gearing up for a PCT hike this year. Frozen, the Schill Brothers, Sintax and of course Shug were the primary YTers I followed.
