Hammock Camping at Myrtle Beach State Park?

My husband and I are planning a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC this year and hoping to hammock camp at Myrtle Beach State Park. Have any hangers have visited there recently? I did a search but did not find anything.

Specifically, I am looking for:

- Recommended sites which would accommodate two (or more) hammocks
- Do they have limits on the number of hammocks allowed per site? I see that they allow only two tents. Do tarp-covered hammocks count the same as tents? Our son may join us and he is also a hanger.

In my experience, campground personnel are not well-versed in hammock camping. Most only consider hammocks to be used for lounging. So I thought I would ask the experts here before contacting the park directly.

I went to MBSP in November. There are quite a few good sites. The trees are better towards the back (away from check-in/beach) for hammocks. When we were there, they were pretty laid back so I don’t think you will have any problems using the hammocks with tarps. The only downside is that you do hear the traffic and the airplanes were routed right over us to get to the airport. But if you can deal with that, it is a fantastic hideaway.
