DIY Ultralight Roll down Dry Bags

I've been making a few ultralight dry bags lately.
I recently saw where someone mentioned roll down dry bags with velcro tabs that held the stiffener side and the other side together while rolling down.
Anyone know what company that might be?
I too will something make and joy in it's making

The Zpacks ones have velcro all along the top edges, not just tabs.

Hilltop dry bags have a snap in the middle of the top edges.

I guess those are pretty much the only ones I know about for sure, other than Sea To Summit, of which the ones I've seen only have a plain stiffener and buckles - nothing extra.

    Thank you.
I have one DIY dry bag that I didn't quite tall as I should have for the stuff I want to keep in it, so it takes extra care to keep the 1/2" webbing stiffener lined up with the 1/2" hem on the other side as I start to roll it.
I'm thinking I might put 3 or 4 KAM Snaps along there to secure it.

Some roll top backpacks use Velcro along the entire edge. Some who have them curse them because of how easily the hook and loop will snag clothing when reaching in to retrieve things, something you may want to factor in.

I’ve been using HG dyneema dry bags that have a grosgrain type roll top. I wouldn’t trust them for complete immersion (and HG is very clear that they aren’t meant for prolonged submersion) but just keeping things dry in a damp kayak hatch they’ve been good. It should be easy enough to use that closure as a model and use a strip of Velcro instead of grosgrain.

    And there’s this brand: https://www.ndiver.com/40l-sre-roll-...g#&gid=1&pid=9

    Cheers,
    B

I have a backpack (Superior Wilderness Designs) that has a few snaps at the roll-top closure, and I prefer that to the velcro on my Zpacks. The velcro often snags on things you don't want it to, can gather bits of detritus, and makes a rather harsh sound on a quiet morning in the woods. It can be a little fiddly to get lined up properly for an OCD like me, also.

    Thanks y'all.
Yeah, I think the snaps are the way to go.
Besides, I'm not crazy about the sound of velcro being pulled apart.
    Snaps it is.

I’ve struggled with getting even the “long” Kam Snaps to securely attach through three layers of fabric plus a webbing stiffener, and was always worried about how I would easily replace it if it broke and the head was sewn inside the rolled hem.
I stick with 1” webbing and components for roll tops, since it’s relatively easier to roll down cleanly in my opinion.
That 1” also gives me enough room to sew on magnets to the webbing stiffener to act as a closure.

I mark the outside with sharpie so I don’t confuse the poles, and then use a bit of tape to hold it in place before sewing a piece of grosgrain on to make the pocket so it can’t move.

Here is the magnets I use:

    Good feed back.
I had wondered if I would need the long Kam Snaps for the side that had the webbing, and the standard for the side with a tri fold of Dyneema.
