    Cumberland Trail - TN-KY

From the title... I didn't do the whole trail, at least not yet .

I completed the North Chickamauga section close to Chattanooga TN. 16.3 miles and two nights (North Chickamauga @ Montlake Trail Head to Hall Rd Trail Head @ Signal Mtn.) Rugged terrain on part of the trail, but it was absolutely beautiful and in my back yard. My new Chameleon hammock and HG quilts performed well (first time to use them) at about 33 degrees. The Cumberland Trail is part of the TN Cumberland Trail State Park system that runs from TN - KY on the Cumberland escarpment. Grass roots and volunteer organizations responsible for most of the construction and now the state is digging in more to get it completed. There are some plans to tie the GET (Great Eastern Trail) to it in Chattanooga. Here are some links for those interested and pictures of course. https://tnstateparks.com/parks/cumberland-trail, https://ctsst.maps.arcgis.com/apps/w...c6e5b738f65c2c, https://cumberlandtrail.org/

I have no idea why the pictures are sideways......

Nice pictures, even if they are sideways. That bridge is interesting. It looks like it was built somewhere else and carried in.
    Thanks for sharing your trip.

Definitely had sections to it, looks like about 10-12 feet each. I'm guessing dropped in by helicopter in bundles and bolted together. It was super sweet for sure, and more than one. Only danger I see is if a tree falls on it. Those wooden bridges can generally be repaired.
