Recommendations for a late February hike

I'll be traveling from home (just north of Philadelpia) to Portland (Maine) the last week of February. On the drive back, I'd like to find a place for a 1-2 nighter, preferably a loop (not a fan of retracing my steps) between there and home.

I'm not sure I'm physically up for the Whites in winter, unless there's a less 'sawtooth' trail up there. Been looking at Harriman SP in NY, but open to other suggestions in NJ, NY, CT or MA.

Some fun options in the Pharoah Wilderness Area, between Ticonderoga and Schroon Lake in NY.

If you’d like some specific suggestions let me know… I have numerous other options in the Adk… but Pharoah is relatively far South East so would save you some drive time.

Thanks for the suggestion. That's a bit farther north than I was looking. I think I've settled on this trail in Harriman SP:

I do this trip (to Maine) every February and July, so maybe I'll hit Pharoah another time.

Ah ok, I’ve done some hiking down that way but no camping. It did seem like there were some good options in the Catskills, I’m just more familiar with options in the Adirondacks.
