I'll be using my Haven Safari hammock again this hang with a slight modification this time around. I tried it at a hang before but the stock Haven pad, which is the main structure feature of the flat lay of this bridge hammock actually folded down the middle. This forced the sleeper into a taco-like position...very uncomfortable. There were a couple mods floating out there on YouTube to help with that but I never found them to work out for my comfort. So I hung up the Haven in the storage shed relegated to collect dust until I could hear of a new solution.
A couple weeks ago, I heard the call. Someone posted on here to try the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Topo Luxe XL pad, that it eliminated the "taco" effect and was the right size for the haven. I looked for it online, a bit pricey...but what the heck. I bought it.
Long story short - it fits the Haven perfectly, eliminated the taco effect. It's 4" thick with a R-4 rating, 30x77. Haven will be at the hang in use if anyone wants to see it again. Paired with a 20 degree Zenbivy sleeping system. Bonus - my 20 degree HG UQ I've used with every hammock I've owned was fitted to this Haven as well!
