    Tensa 4 question

The fence pole tensahedron stand seems to work well for hanging outdoors but it only breaks down into 4'+ sections. I've been looking at the solo pole to increase the options when hanging in certain areas while hiking and would eventually like a full Tensa 4. It is more economical to get the Tensa 4 and add on solo kit than to start with the solo. The full version is a compact option for road trips, the 4WD beach and vacations. To justify the purchase, I've kicked around the idea of using it indoors. If this can be left assembled with all 4 poles fully extended and folded head end to foot end and still clear the ceiling that would be great. I have an 8' ceiling where it would be set up. would the head or foot end clear the ceiling with the standard spread? There is not too much space so flipping it sideways is not an option.

Nice thing about the tensa 4 is you can widen the stance and lower the profile a little. You’ll end up sacrificing a little bit of floor space. I found if I collapse down one section (the foot end of the hammock… or the head), it worked for me.

I use mine all the time indoors with 8 foot ceilings- no problems! Its a little tricky to store it with poles extended like you were talking about, but it can be done-
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

I store mine upright, with a slight lean, fully extended in the garage, which is about an 8 ft ceiling. If I needed more room, I would(and have) just partly collapse one or 2 sections.

Thanks for the info, looks like it should work for me. I'll probably pull the trigger on a Tensa 4 and solo kit after the holidays.
