Would they stay on permanently similar to the common ones used for the RR?

I haven't seen these on his site yet; I'll order some because I have multiple bridge hammocks that need them. I've ripped holes in my DCF tarp because I still like to sit in the hammock with feet on the ground a lot.

img_7729.jpegimg_7730.jpeg They are just a press fit.... Worked really well. I also made my own out of Cello Tips.... Just rubber tips used on the bottom of a cello where the leg contacts the floor... They work awesome as well.

We have a handful left over from HangCon if anyone is interested. We will be offering them on the website soon. Just working out some logistics. If you want a set, just email us at sa20240206_083306.jpg[email protected]

Progress is a funny thing. The new suspensions almost require the protecting tips to be placed on the installed bar's pins. So they are off/on/off as you put up the bridge and take it down. More things to keep track of - i.e. potentially lose.

Some current suspensions allow for buttons to be placed in the Amsteal dogbones so they are always available/ready.

But the cheapest/easiest for me, when the earlier RidgeRunner had metal hardware to hold the pins, was the $2.00 ArrowHead rubber tube "bumper" that was essentially a 1.5 inch section of bicycle inner tube. As I imagine it, they would work with the "pin in Amsteal" suspensions too. It may take some fiddling to first get them on the amsteal (where they live), but you won't forget them or lose them on the trek.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

That route can easily be taken on the Banyan too.

Ok, so as a Ridgerunner owner, I do not see what the tarp danger is here, I buffed off the ends of my poles with 320 sand paper, and Scotch brite. They are not sharp in the slightest.
Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.

The tips on the banyan have a better radius than the ridgerunner. That being said, I still wouldn't trust them not to go thru a tarp as some videos have shown in the past. I'm looking at you, Schill Brothers!
