    Dutchware Banyan Tarp Protectors

Hello, Just ordered a Dutchware Banyan Bridge Hammock to try for the first time. I do have the pole mod for my tarp, but, would like ideas for covering the spreader bar ends to protect the tarp in high winds or if something happens when not at camp...... Thanks!

Contact Dutch to see if he can bond tarp doors for each end.

I worried about spreader bar poles rubbing on my tarp when I first switched to a bridge in 2008............ I still have my original tarp and there is no sign of wear from the spreader bars. It's worth noting that for 11 years of that time, I was using the old notched end spread bars not the nice finished tips of current spreader bars.

I just took the bar into my FLHS (Friendly Local Hardware Store) and got some of these:

Conical Tap Washers that fit the pole ends tightly.

Yep. Just get a few screw-on feet the right size.

Thanks to this thread I went to Lowes and found these beveled washers in the plumbing section.
$3.48 for 10 washers. They are a perfect fit for my ridgerunner spreader bars. They are very snug, but go on easily. hopefully they'll stay in place pretty well.
