Brion Toss and Margie McDonald were working on locked brummels
Not sure who did it first, probably an amalgamation of splicers
From part of my question, round campfire
Thanks for letting me join Friday night. Great trip, great company.
Fun times were had by all. I appreciate Roy Roughbutt for finding my glasses in the leaves. That man has eagle eyes.
One trip report aspect I figured you all would enjoy: I broke the aluminum cross brace on my Helinox Chair Zero, and the gang suggested I check into whether the 5-year warranty applies. Alas, I went through my REI purchase history, and it was purchased way back in 2017.
Now I could never be sure, but I thought that I heard the sound of "Taps" being played, gently.

I would reach out to them anyway. What you got to loose trying

The great news I received today is that Helinox is going to send me a replacement piece that includes the broken aluminum piece and the two hubs. The only downside is that I have to do the repair myself, but at least that will test my skills with replacing shock cord in poles! So, I'll be back in the saddle again soon!
