SLOVAKIA: New DIY winter tarp tryout

For several weeks now, we have permanent wind over here in central Europe. Like really strong winds, and if there is a night without wind, it is middle of the week. Something is going wrong here.
Our first snow was accompanied with strong winds as well, so strong that it is dangerous to lay underneath.
The forecast promised to clear the sky, and wind free night in Small Carpathians, so I decided to give it a try. And yes, the trees did not move a bit, the stars and the moon made my night. They even made me to leave the hammock /20F/, dress, and take some night pictures of the with mighty trees reaching out to the stars. The morning was fabulous.

I made some minor changes with the doors of warbonnet superfly tarp. Something between mountainfly and superfly, with the doors not reaching to the ground. The snowday fabric is a fantastic performer in the winter garden.

What a beautiful experience! the light was amazing. It does look very cold, though.

Wow that looks amazing. The night time picture looking upwards to the starts with the snow covered trees is my favorite. Wish I was there.

    Beautiful. Thank you
Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.

Spectacular capture of winter in the trees! Your loss of sleep is definitely our gain.

    Beautiful!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
