I'm assuming the usual conditions apply

Water is shut off and no camp restrooms are open

All activities for group events are around the pavillion

Yes, BYOW, except I'm pretty sure water can be gotten at the Ranger station if needed.
I'm sure most of you know about keeping your water from freezing at night. Unless it's extremely cold, most people do fine by keeping their extra water in a cooler, in the vehicle.
If needed, you could put a hot water bottle in the cooler, but I don't think that's usually necessary.

I believe Hickery's going to have them bring the handicap Port-A-Jhon again.
More room for taking off those winter layers and room for a heater. Hickery talked like he might just run a heater from sunup till around 9 or 10am, but if needed, I'm sure someone could light it back up while they were in there.

Yep, a lot of hanging out at the pavilion, just be sure to leave it clean, as usual.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Well I can't resist: a heater in a Port-a-john - what could happen with that???????????? Better add a fire extinguisher!

And a CO detector! (Another voice in me - the risk taker - says, "Aren't we going to light it at sundown, not sunup?" Glad Hickery's in charge of this.)
    ...
What's a Mt. Rogers hang without a few frozen butts?

If anyone decides they’d be up for a day hike from group camp on Friday or Saturday, I plan to bring a small daypack and camera gear for a trip up to Wilburn Ridge or possibly Mt Rogers.
