Good to see a few new "to me" names on the sign-up sheet.
I know of at least two that are planning to be there but aren't on the spreadsheet.
Ya never know until you get there.

At the Grayson Highlands Fall festival hang, two chairs were left behind.
I learned that the smaller, brown one belongs to Crawdaddy. Hopefully he will be able to retrieve it at this hang.
The other chair remains unclaimed.

Getting closer to the weather prediction

Looking like possible snow and teens w/ wind chill at higher elevations next week. Will be interesting to see what that means for the lower group camp area in the park two weeks out.
Ooh…you’re in for a treat. Beautiful area and looks like the Scottish Highlands when you get up by Wilburn Ridge. One of my favorite places in the SE to hike. Bring some trekking poles if you have them as the trail gets a bit rocky in that section. Looking forward to it.
Looking back at past threads about this winter hang I came across this drone shot from Poppins in 2017.
Looking down on the camp area. Pretty cool!

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
Looks like a whole forest of tiny trees down there, doesn't it?
Getting excited!
It ain't always about hammer'n out the miles....Sometimes it's about just 'hanging out"!
