    Ultralight version of Thunderfly

Havent post here for a while. But still constructing few tarps a year with my favorite bonded reinforcements

I made an ultralight version of Thunderfly. Used dutchware xenon .9
It is a bit less than 12ft, it covers even my ridgerunner nicely. For sure not for storms, but It will do rain.
Skipped the panel pullouts, made catenary curves, and still did not come under 300grams. It has 330 grams, and it is pretty small.

The tarp covers the hammock nicely on this side, but on the other side is less. Small bit of the amsteel triangle is outside of the tarp.

It looks perfect, nice job! 330 grams is very lightweight. Does that weight include the cordage and stakes? My ripstopbytheroll summer hex tarp with cordage, stakes, and stuff sack weighs 457 grams and that uses membrane fabric. How did you attach the panel pull reinforcement? With silicone adhesive?

Membrane silpoly from ripstopbytheroll and dutchware xenon .9 is the same fabric

I guess you mean tieouts on this tarp. Those are glued with silicone.
The weight is just a tarp in stuffsack.

That is a nice looking tarp. Is the ridgeline bonded as well?

No, tye ridgeline is sewn with 2 lines of stitches, double rolled hem style. Easiest you can think of.

This is one of the times I wish we had a "like" button on this site. I really like that tarp. Really well done, and the final weight is outstanding.

Wow,!!! That is a piece of fine art! Absolutely beautiful! (I will have to add that to my future projects list!)
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
