    Snow Shoe Idaho Sawtooth Mountains?

I have done a few good hikes in the sawtooth range during the spring and summer. I did the loop hike that leaves from Petit Lake as well as a few others. But I have been wanting to take a snow shoe trip this winter. Any information would be appreciated. Is that trail open to snow shoe? If not are there any that are?

I don't know any specifics about Sawtooths in the winter, but the question did remind me of this video I'd seen a while back. It seems doable and was beautiful enough in the summer, but word of caution: this is the same guy who snow shoed himself into a garmin sos call. I'm from GA, though, so I'd personally consider this beyond my limits.

Cool thank you! But yes I do agree with you. It is important to know your limits and be safe. I have good gear and know I can do it. Just never been there in the winter. Thank you!
