    Lazy outdoorsman.

Middle aged dad who goes into the woods to hide from the women in his life from time to time. Although sometimes one or more of them follow me. My four year old five next week, loves to camp with Daddy. She has a MYOG 6 foot hammock with built in UQ & TQ I made for her. I Hang it above me from the same trees below the big tarp I bring when she comes.

Got turned on to hammocks while watching ultralight backpacking youtube videos at work. (not really watching, more as background noise) A shug video popped up after a while and I was intrigued. I should have just turned it off. That was about a year and a half ago.... I have camped more since then in one year then I had in the last ten.

I think it's wonderful that they follow you in sometimes! that setup for your little one sounds great. Post a picture next time you have it out. Lots of people are curious about how early and how to get there young ones out and hanging.

I will try to get some of the setup. I was asked politely to refrain from taking her to hunting camp for at least 5 years so her camping season is over this year and the summer stuff is all put up. It is just wet and miserable on the tug hill or southern ADKs right now. So hot tents are the order of the week next week.

She is a pretty well behaved little bugger and minds when I ask her to do something so I am pretty comfortable with having her with me. It helps that I take her to family owned hunting land. We keep the distances down and as long as she is warm and well fed she is pretty happy.
