Covid lesson - everyone wears masks indoors. But how to get lazy Wisconsin hammock campers to all wear masks in Da Shack and how would Goobie even fit his big man beard in a mask? lol.

Thanks for hosting another wonderful Holiday Hang, Tumbleweed! This December hang is part of my holiday tradition and the Sunday snow really got my into the Christmas spirit!

Timber is sold to Forest Products Companies. The trees are in the Managed Forest Lands Program which then has scheduled timber harvests to improve the quality of the forest by removing undesirable (injured, diseased, old, etc) trees. In exchange, we get a reduced tax assessment.

"End of an era". I don't think so... Look forward to an April 2024 Gotta Finda Tree Hang. Going to be interesting. After a timber harvest the woods looks ugly for a while. Thats OK because it brings food / photosynthesis closer to ground level thus more available foods for the animals. T.

"Gotta Finda Tree Hang" had a nice ring to it! It will be fun! Be like the first ever Shack hang with everyone looking to claim "their" spot. Maybe a first annual "Stands in the Pine Plantation @ Da Shack" hang??
