Not all those who wander are lost
TomTom hammock camp is on my calendar.
Google Maps Robbins Branch Trailhead Road, Asheboro NC
At end of road, plenty of parking
I use AllTrailsPro app. Others can work
Go about .6 mile on Robbins Branch Trail
Right turn onto Hannah’s Creek Trail
Go .2 mile
Right turn onto Cooper Mountain Trail
Go about .5 mile, we will be camped just before Cooper Mountain Trail crosses Hannah’s Creek
Total distance one and a half miles maybe two miles at most. Might be good to pack in water, as we’ve had a drought lately.
birthday hang map.jpg heres a gaia map with the pins and the gps cords or close to where i plan on staying are 35.58493, -79.94421
Not all those who wander are lost
I'm planning to be there. Probably after work Friday.
Looking forward to it!
I too will something make and joy in it's making
Cooper Mountain Trail at Hanna’s Creek Trail has two yellow blazes on a tree.
About 12 paces on Cooper Mountain Trail is a wooden sign showing distance to Cooper Mountain Cemetery.
Entire hike is just under 30 minutes!
I day hiked there today. The creek has some flow and enough water for our coffee and meals.
And the creek water tasted good, not like last time we were there——No more off taste!!!
Between now and then, there are two days with some rain forecast, the creek will have the same flow as today.
Double EDIT!
Maybe some rain Friday
Maybe No Rain Saturday Sunday
High Saturday 69
Low Sunday am 49
I recommend using a trail app that shows Cooper Mountain Trail, and or taking a good look at map posted on our thread.

Ya'll in NC need to check for burn bans and park closures. I got back from South Mountains a few days early...we had to leave because all the back country sites are shut down due to fire hazard. Here's the list: https://www.ncparks.gov/state-parks/news/burn-ban
Thanks FLTurtle, so far no ban here…yet!
I have eaten dry instant coffee and chased it with a gulp of water.
We had rain today, and might get rain Friday too.
Maybe someone can deliver hot coffee to my hammock.
If there is a fire ban, here, this coming weekend, we will just cancel TomTom’s birthday and make him stay same age till next year!
