I had thought about driving down after work Friday, that's usually about 5pm or later.
But since it's near dark by 5:30, I'm going to drive down Saturday morning. early.

EARLY Yes, Friday night backpacking after dark in rain, then setting up in dark and rain, makes Saturday am a great option.
Some chance of rain Saturday, but not as likely as Friday.
For me, Friday or Saturday, depends on what I have for lunch
