Hello all,
I am Brady from South Georgia. I am excited to be a part of the forum. I have tried hammock camping a few times with my ENO single nest and am looking to upgrade to something better. I hope to make some good friends here

Watch Shug’s videos, how to hang a hammock, insulation, suspensions, tarps. His videos are as entertaining as informative!

You might want to go to some group hangs. There you will get a crash course in hammocks, meet new friends, drink coffee and swap lies. You will get to see all kinds of hammocks.

I am new to this forum as well, and about five hours away in Florida. I keep an ENO double nest at work. Maybe I will see you at Palmetto State Hangers Fall Sprawl?

Welcome to the conversation! I agree with the others above- try and get to a group hang, if you can. You can check out a number of different hammocks before you make an investment. I slept in my ENO single for years with a self inflating pad and a good sleeping bag before I upgraded to a bigger hammock and quilts. All the people I've met at group hangs have been friendly and welcoming.

Hey there, Brady! Welcome to the Forum and hanging life! If it must not remain confidential for some reason, where in south GA? I grew up all over GA north to south, but I spent a good bit of time in Blakely and then 6 months or so in Bainbridge. That is where my 1st real camping trips happened, 65 years ago, though no thoughts of a hammock back then! Still, lots of god memories!

hiya Brady, welcome to the forum and enjoy your hammock adventure. Myself and another member are located in the Savannah area. North GA is an excellent spot to hang but where we are George L Smith park has been decent as w ell.
