We usually book sites 134 and 135. 134 can accommodate many hangers and the sites are close to the heated washroom. In the past I’ve just paid for a site if I’m there early enough and I don’t worry about collecting money. After the site is paid for, additional people just pay for additional parking for the site which I think is $12 or so. When you get to the gate just tell them you’re joining the hammock campers on 134.

I came early to play with the stove / reflector oven. So far, so good! (But it's a tad warm in here. )
See y'all tomorrow ... or whenever.

I will be there but on Saturday due to a function Friday night.

I haven’t posted on here much so folks may not recognize the user name but I am Mooseroo’s friend.

    Cheers

Just FYI ... Me & Whet Newdell will be in site 135 ... suggest Friday arrivals grab 134 & Sat folks 133. Looks like we'll need all three.

Nice to meet you all at Valens this weekend, wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks so much for the warm hospitality and delicious bites. I haven't been able to connect many of the names/faces with forum handles, but a special thank you to G for the Nalgene bottle that helped keep my feet warm, and also for the freeze-dried skittles; my kids loved them!

Looking forward to seeing you all again some time, perhaps at the January EGL hang. Cheers

Post script re the bread. I tested my thermometer in my oven at home and it works just fine. So the reflector oven only got up to about 150F. Seems like one needs to make a much bigger and vertical fire to get up to 350F. I’ll try it again in January, and I’ll bring a bigger pan.

I hear you re the handles. I’ve been hanging around these guys since 2019 and I only now feel like I know everyone’s two names.

    Keep coming. You’ll get it.
