My trip began as it usually does, waking up in the middle of the night so I can push off at a reasonably early time. I've paddled in the dark before and I wasn't keen on doing it again.

I had headwinds for most of my paddle in and after getting a little turned around as can easily happen, I made it to our designated EGL site for this trip on North Tea Lake east. A few friends were already there and so after set up we had a nice evening by the fire.

The next day I decided to go with KeeWayKeno to see the falls that are in between North Tea Lake and Manitou Lake. It was definitely worth checking out.

My third day I went for a paddle around the lake. I wanted to take advantage of the calm conditions. It's a big lake prone to shifting winds so when it's glassy it's time to go!

Friday was going to be our group dinner. We usually have a group dinner that is some kind of awesome stew or chowder or meaty soup. This time we had a full blown Thanksgiving feast. Many contributed but credit goes to Lofty for bringing in the main course and Jiblets for desserts from scratch.

What a great meal to celebrate Lofty's Birthday as well as Thanksgiving (which is in early October for us Canucks). The next night Lofty made up some pizza from scratch.
