Where to put top quilt in the night until I need it?

In warmer weather, I start the night sleeping under a sheet without a TQ in the hammock. Later in the night, when it gets colder, I like to use the TQ for the rest of the night. But I haven't figured out where to put the TQ during the night when I'm not using it. If the TQ is in the hammock, although it is not on me, it is against me and makes me too hot. Does anyone else start out the night without the TQ on them but use it later? Where do you put the TQ in the night while you are not using it?

I have the peak shelf on the head end for my DW hammocks. I just cram it up there. If you have WB BB XLC, throw it in the storage shelf. Also, HG sells a mesh ridgeline loft that looks big enough to handle a top quilt.

Normally though, if it starts at out warm at night I just bunch it at my feet and push it up the foot end peak. If it cools down, easy enough to pull it over me.

I have to deal w/this alot being that it can be in the high 80's- low 90's when I go to sleep and mid 60's in the morning. So I tend to have it stuffed under my knees, though there have been times where I leave it hanging over the ridgeline and just pull it down when needed. Of course that works better when I'm not using a net.

I'll fold it up and hang it from the ridgeline. If the hammock I'm in does not have a ridgeline I'll put it in my gear hammock.

I have stuffed it into the shelf on my Warbonnet Blackbird XLC. It’s crazy how much stuff can be shoved into that thing. You could always put it in you pack and have it standing up next to your hammock. So when it gets cold just reach out and grab it.

Hang your pack from the RL at the foot end - easy deployment. Or a peak bag at the foot end. Or sew a long mesh pocket along the edge of the hammock opposite your feet.

If you use a UQP, you could put it in there. You'll want to check the tension as you probably don't want the UQP to sag to the ground with the TQ in it. 2QZQ, now DutchWare, had a bungee option where they'd make the UQP with heavier suspension bungee with anticipation of putting a pad between the hammock and UQP. If it would hold that, I'd imagine it would hold a summer weight TQ.

My Superior hammock has something called a Corner Pocket https://superiorgear.com/product/corner-pocket that looks similar to the DW Peak Shelf. I tried the Corner Pocket and that seems to work well enough. Thanks for the suggestions.

Also on the SG hammock, the snaps are compatible with the snaps on an EE topquilt so I've just snapped it to the hammock at the foot end early at night.

With my BBXLC, I've put it the shelf like others have said.
