See you there!
See you there!
So far, about two dozen wonderful campers have posted here. Some of our fellow campers do not post here, because they are on Facebook and not on Hammock Forums. Also some years we are joined by a backpacking club hiking Uwharrie Trail on Saturday.
There can be as many as forty some campers here Saturday, but as we all know…the main driver is our weather. With mild temperatures and no precipitation, numbers will be higher.
And with frigid temperatures and or precipitation, numbers drop down to 20 to 24 intrepid hammock campers.
I’m not sure, but I think hunting season will cause the gate to be left open. That would make parking much more convenient.
I look forward to seeing all Y’all!
We are Yates!

Ooooooooooo good timing. I'll be back in NC by then after a short 21 year hiatus.
Hopefully my brother and I will be coming from Raleigh.

Not all those who wander are lost
Putting this on the calendar. Looking at dragging home a (1954)vehicle project tomorrow so we'll see how tied up I get with that in the coming weeks.

Keep your feet on the ground and your minds in the woods!
Plan on being there myself, hopefully Friday morning
Straight out of Clayton.
Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.
I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.
I'll be there. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and having some fun around the campfire.
This is extremely tempting.
